Known Problems

This page highlights problems known with Version 1.2
Name Userid Problem
Symptoms

TB shows Users in Trial/Sites Menu with non-unique System User numbers.

TR/TM do not allow logon with password for users with non-unique ids, and display wrong user name in error message.

Description This is caused by importing trial(s) into a database with an empty USERID table and not performing a userid sychronise by running TR. Adding new users after the import may cause users to be added with non-unique system userids (numbers shown as prefixes to user name in Trial/Sites dialog in TB).
Bypass

If trials are imported into empty databases, TR should be run (without any input action being necessary) to add the userids BEFORE any new users are added using TB.

If non-unique userids are present, they should be removed from both the trial metadata using TB AND from the USERID table using a suitable RDBMS utility and re-added using TB.

Alternatively, the USERID table should be inspected to find the highest existing user number, and the Trial XML metadata edited by a suitable system editor to change the "ID=" parameters of the "<USR" records under the "<SITE" records to suitable unique id numbers higher than that existing in the USERID table, the amended XML imported into TB, and again TR executed to update the USERID table.

Status This problem is fixed in V1.3
